A historic victory for MERCAZ Olami in the 2025 World Zionist Congress election

Thanks to your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to our shared values, MERCAZ Olami has achieved remarkable results that position us stronger than ever to advance the interests of the global Masorti/Conservative movement.
MERCAZ has increased our delegation from 34 in 2020 to 39 mandates, a significant gain that reflects the growing strength and influence of our movement worldwide.
Our success extends far beyond maintaining our position – we’ve made historic breakthroughs:
• Argentina | We secured 3 mandates – 1st Place!
• Chile | We won 42% of the vote
• Sweden | We were able to revitalize this Zionist federation
• Uganda | We achieved a groundbreaking mandate, expanding our global reach
• United Kingdom, Canada, and France | We successfully defended our existing mandates despite intense challenges and organized efforts to undermine our campaign
• United States | We were the only party in our bloc to increase representation, growing from 18 to 19 mandates
Our efforts also helped strengthen our bloc in gaining new mandates in other Zionist federations across the globe.
This victory was built on an unprecedented mobilization of our movement. More than 350 dedicated captains led our efforts across 16 countries, including 250 US congregation captains and over 100 international activists who were carefully recruited, trained, and equipped for this campaign.
We also received the full partnership and support of our movement institutions, including USCJ, the Rabbinical Assembly, Ramah, Marom, USY, and NOAM, as well as our membership and professional organizations. This represented a level of unity and coordination never before seen.
Finally, our professional campaign leadership, empowered by movement leaders all around the world, brought strategic expertise to every aspect of the effort.
This expanded mandate gives us enhanced negotiating power and a stronger voice in Jewish People’s National Institutions for the next five years. We have accomplished our campaign goals and are now better positioned than ever to benefit our movement’s communities and institutions worldwide, push forward our values in Israeli society and Jewish life globally; and represent the voice of Conservative/Masorti Jews at the highest levels of Jewish institutional life.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to every individual and institution that made this victory possible. Our captains and activists worked tirelessly in communities around the world to ensure that our message reached every corner of our movement. Communities and movement institutions dedicated their time, energy, and resources to this crucial campaign, while voters placed their trust in us by casting their ballots for MERCAZ, affirming that our values and aspirations are their own.
Above all, we recognize the exceptional MERCAZ Olami team, who coordinated this complex international effort with skill and dedication.
As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we also look ahead to the important work that awaits us. With our strengthened mandate, we are committed to advancing our shared vision of a pluralistic, inclusive, and vibrant Jewish future.
